Everyone starts out as a White Belt working towards Level 1 – Bronze.
Level 1 - Bronze
Awarded for earning the following achievements:
For having preformed the following duties at least once:
- Meeting Leader
- Off-the-Cuff Leader,
- Word of the Day
- Evaluator
For having preformed the following duties at least once:
- Timer
- Warm Fuzzy
- Top Sheet Clerk,
- Photographer or Treasurer
Level 2 - Silver
Awarded for earning the following achievements:
and completion of:
- Bronze Badge
- Presentation Binder Project
Level 3 - Gold
Awarded for earning the following achievements:
- Level 2 – Silver Badge earned
- Level 3 – Gold Badge earned
- Mastery of & continued participation in club duties
- Strong initiative in Blog Review duty
Level 4 - Black
Awarded for earning the following achievements:
Master Level: For the student who has earned their Gold Badge and volunteers their time to the class throughout the year by doing:
- a Baby Book speech demonstration
- a 3-Point speech demonstration
- a Story speech demonstration
- 2 Free Speech/ Free Choice
The Master Level student takes a strong initiative in Blog Review, Leadership and Support duties. They also participate in the assignment of ribbons. This student works to coach while improving their own skills. A certificate of gratitude and a reference letter from the club facilitator is awarded to the individual for this role.
Extra-Credit Badges
Extra-Credit badges can be earned at anytime, at any level.
Play an instrument, sing or dance.
Recite a poem with expression and great voice projection.
Give a 3-point speech on your favourite book or movie.
A special award for giving a speech without any filler words.
Give a speech about a trip you took or a trip you would like to take. You could even propose a fieldtrip for the club.
Free Choice. Give 3-Point speech or tell a story about the topic of your choice.
